The PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team will part ways with riders Hafizh Syahrin and Eric Granado at the end of the 2023 Superbike World Championship season.

Over the last two seasons, Malaysian rider Syahrin has worked tirelessly with his technicians to improve the performance of the squad’s CBR1000RR-R. A regular points scorer, Hafizh scored a best result of twelfth at the Most round in 2022. The current season brought its challenges, but this never deterred the Malaysian, who always did his best on every occasion. Brazilian rider Granado came on board for the 2023 season, bringing a can-do attitude and cheerful disposition to the garage. Like team-mate Hafizh, Eric has worked in a constructive manner with his technicians throughout the season, developing his riding skills and gaining valuable experience in the production-derived series, while also making his own valuable contribution to the team’s ongoing project.

The entire PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team wishes both riders success in the future and will confirm its plans for the 2024 Superbike World Championship season shortly.

The PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team is very appreciative of both riders’ incredible efforts and wishes them all the very best for the future.”
